Your Name: Lynn
Name: Quiera L'rosen
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Talent Level: Second
Ranking: Fledgeling
Appearance:
Quiera is, to put it straight, albino. Her hair is purest white, and her skin is pale as snow. Eyes of palest pink stare out at the world, strangely uncovered despite the knowledge that those like her are sensitive to light, and are intelligent, if a little bit mischievous. At five foot four already, she's rather tall for a young woman, promising to end at about five foot nine or so when she stops growing finally. She tends towards paler hues, silvers and pale blues being her preferred, but on occasion, usually a very special one, she can be found in the dark blue and gold of her home Clan. She has roughly calloused hands from wind and sea, and always carries a staff with a large, pale yellow topaz on it, her focus for her magic. She calls it her Sunstaff, and if asked why, will simply say it guards her from her greatest weakness.
Personality:
She is a quiet, somewhat nervous girl who prefers to keep the walls and backs of rooms, being very leery of people getting behind her, especially men. Her eyes are always moving, watching, and she's observant almost to a fault, though smart enough to know that some of what she observes needs to stay unspoken, for it could cause trouble for all those involved. She likes to think she could someday prove a valuable asset, maybe even be a diplomat or spy for the Kingdom, but she's also down to earth enough to know that this could also prove the reverse, and she ends up just a general 'Warrior.
She's wary of men in general, terrified of BIG men in specific, but can sometimes get over it if the man proves himself worthy of her affection and/or friendship.
She respects the DragonWarriors highly, having been present on a few occasions where they stepped in and saved her father's ship from disaster or raids from pirates, and she would love to be one. She stands as a Trainee already, and she knows she has a chance, but still she is unsure of whether she will be allowed to choose an egg or not. So she watches and waits and hopes with all her little heart that she will be decided worthy.
History:
Quiera was born the tenth child to her father, from his seventh wife (the randy man had multiple wives all at one time in different ports, though he kept it secret from all of them.) Unlike some of her half-siblings though, she was given the Clan name, as her father saw her as special, though why he would never say. She grew up learning his trade in her mother's port, and is a talented fisherwoman when she decides to be. At the tender age of five, she was out playing, ignoring the fact that the sun was shining brightly down on her, something that almost never happened due to her sensitivity, but when she went inside, she was unharmed, not horrifically burned as her frantic mother had feared she might be.
This strange surprise led some to whisper she was a witch, and her mother-who was also a mage, though only Third Rank-defended her fiercely, getting her tested for the gift. To her parents' surprise, she was higher than either of them in Talent, though not much, and had somehow protected HERSELF, though unknowingly, from the sun's harmful rays. From that time on, she had a tutor in the arts of magic, and she was especially interested in protective magics like those she had used to protect herself. In time, she became a gifted RuneCrafter, her Runes of protection in high demand in her little fishing Village, where they protected boats from harm, children from some illnesses, and of course herself from the sun's rays.
She found a large, yellow-gold topaz one day and decided it would be the focus for her magic(until then she had been using a little ring her mother had given her, a cheap bauble in any hands but her's), and took to carrying it around. One of the Woodworkers saw her using it one day and volunteered to craft her a staff to place it in, so she wouldn't have to always figure out where to put it while she was working. That was how she obtained her Sunstaff, a four foot long gnarly looking piece of hardwood upon which her topaz rests in a dragon's claw.
When she was fifteen, she was in Kamyyr when the Tester came, and rooted out by his dragon to be taken to the Hall. She now lives the life of a Trainee, not easy, but wonderful to her, and she eagerly awaits the next Clutching, hoping that she might be chosen to select an egg as her own...
When the Hatching came, she had her egg, but was rejected by the Marbled within, leaving her wondering what she had done wrong, and hunting within the records of the Hall. Then, the call went out that Pirates had been seen, and a call had come from their ship into the mind of the one the 'Warriors. A rescue was needed, and Quiera was chosen to go along and aid. The raid was successful, and a pair of human, a pair of kitten-creatures referred to as Drakkats and a beautiful creature, a Gryphon, were rescued, as well as two Gryphon eggs. The Gryphon later laid her own eggs, and Quiera was one of those chosen to be among the first in generations to try and Bond to the creatures.
When THAT Hatching day came, she entered the Wallows devoid of magic, of protection, and watched as the chicks showed their ways and made their choices. Much to her curiosity, the Gryphons showed a ranking system that was not present in the dragons. And then..?
Then SHE was chosen, by none other than the Arcticfox, Brenichae, the Queen on the Wallow sands. Now, she is a Fledgeling, learning along with the others how the Gryphons differ from the dragons, in behavior, in their ways.
PETS
Name:Aleeri
Rank: Opal
Basics: This female is on the larger side for an Opal, but proportionally. Her wings are of normal size for her body length. She doesn't like other females of her kind, and tends to be a bit mean toward the Aryvole females as well, at least the Clutching ones. Males, on the other hand, are a completely different story. She loves taking the boys' attention from her sisters, from the others. But of course she doesn't care much for the lower ranked males. Her attention stems mostly toward her Diamond brother.
Name: Aridor
Color: Garnet
Looks: This Garnet is a dark, bloody red color, with a soft metallic sheen to his scales. He is on the small side for his color, but has longer legs than normal. He is a better runner, faster than his other Garnet brother.
Personality: He is very competitive when near his Garnet brother. Beyond that, he is often out and about somewhere, and loves to play with both his Bonded and anyone who is willing. However, he will never stray too far from his Bonded’s side.
