Appearance: Aren's hair is a bright auburn color, wavy, kept just an inch or so long. His eyes are a smokey blue, and he is often lost in thought. He is a pale person, burning easily in the sun. He has a number of freckles on his face and arms, and is rarely seen outside without some sort of hat. He tends to wear long pants and short-sleeved tunics. He usually has one of his two Aryvole on his shoulders. He is slender and tall for his age, standing at just under six feet.
His Moss Aryvol, the elder of the two, is a soft, grassy green with streaks of brown through his feathers, Aren named him Ricken. Ricken's eyes are soft brown.
The other Aryvol, a Carmine named Rosetta, is a bright, rosy red color, with darker red on her tips of her feathers. Her eyes are a bright orange.
Personality: Aren is a very opinionated person. He has trouble keeping his opinions to himself, and is often caught up in arguments because of his hothead characteristics. He doesn't like listening to others when he already has his opinions set, and it is hard for someone else to change his mind. He tends to be a bit of a loner because of his violent tendancies when he doesn't want to listen or when people won't leave him alone.
However, Aren has a soft side he doesn't like to show to others. He secretly loves the creatures of Shai, including the two Aryvole that he Bonded to over time. They are the only ones who see his tender heart on a regular basis. He tends to be awkward around people of the opposite sex that he doesn't know. Even when he does know a girl, he can get even more awkward when he develops feelings for the girl. Though when people see him with his two Aryvole they tend to get an impression that he makes seem wrong, and yet is actually his true self.
He is good at climbing trees and likes to explore a lot. He prefers high places over lower ones, which is what convinced him to take the Test. He likes the idea of the freedom that being on the back of a dragon brings.
History: Aren was born to a Whitewarrior named Erna and a Brownwarrior named Ritney. He got little attention from his parents as a child, possibly leading to his angsty behavior. He often wandered around the jungle as a child, once he reached about eight years old. He was very nimble and good at climbing trees. He found a small Clutch of Aryvole eggs that had just begun to Hatch. One of them, a little Moss baby, came over to Aren and bit the boy's finger, forming the Bond. It surprised him, but he recovered quickly and took the Moss back to the Hall, surprising everyone in the nursery. He took care of the Aryvol well, and actually became the envy of the other children. He named the Aryvol Ricken.
Not long after that, one of the other girls in the nursery began to talk to him, to ask him questions about himself. They hung out more and more, but one day, when he was eleven, she just disappeared. He found out a few days later that her parents had been transfered to North Hold, and that they'd taken her with them. He never really talked to anyone since that day, as it made him remember that his own parents had basically abandoned him to the nursery when he was just a toddler.
He had just turned fifteen when he finally decided to take the Trainee Test. It was decided that he had magical abilities that he hadn't ever trained, and so he would be a good candidate for a Dragon. He has since begun training his magical abilities, realizing that he simply has the Mind Gift, stronger than the average Third but not as strong as a Second. He is able to make mental contact, but is not very good at sustaining it yet.
Just before his sixteenth birthday, he stumbled upon another Aryvole Clutch. This time he was bitten by a small Carmine he named Rosetta. She has yet to leave his side, though she is only a month old as of yet.
He was sixteen when the Dragonlady's dragon clutched, and he Bonded to a Diamond, whom he named Osanai.

Appearance: This Diamond is a large, majestic fellow with every intention of owning the fact that his kind doesn't show up very often. Crystalline white scales dominate his form, sparkling brightly against the sunlight he plays with on a whim. Because of his power, and his coloring, he often gives off this ethereal glow much like his ebony sister. He will be 15 feet tall and 27 feet long come maturity, towering over a majority of his fellow dragons.
Personality: He's a jokester, constantly playing tricks on others and he will often plot with his ebony sister on who would be best to trick next. He doesn't focus on his 'warrior for his tricks though, he expects Aren to help him - and understand that not everything is about appearing tough. He is a playful one as well, though he doesn't have the "so-real-you-could-touch-it" illusion ability of his sister. No, he has that "I'm-going-to-stare-at-you-and-you-will-do-as-I-say" ability. Mind control over those weaker than him. Lovely ability, just like his glow in the dark capabilities and creating light out of nothing.
