Near East Hall
Kamyrr: The largest city on the East coast, fairly close to East Hall. It's a center of trade, started out hundreds of years ago as a fishing village and now the Eastern coast's main port. Crime is well established here, as in any city with wealth moving around, full of pickpockets and such, but there is also a good presence of Dragonwarriors and regular guards. There are plenty of markets with fascinating wares from the east and all sorts of people from all over. There may or may not be slave trade operating out of Kamyrr.
Eastern Villages In Eastern Shai, there are small fishing villages all along the coast, and villages along the river, but rarely beyond that as water is the main source of livelihoods here, with the forest providing some jobs but not as many.
Countries near Shai (Trading partners)
Tairna: Tairna shares Shai's northern border. It is similar in climate to northern Shai, that is to say moderate temperatures, hilly and full of trees, but lacks the sophistication of Shai. It is led by a Warlord and is extremely militarisic, full of feuding clans and dangerous wild creatures.
Clani: Clani borders on southern Shai via a narrow bridge of land and is a fairly hot country. Northern Clani is much like southern Shai in climate, warm and dry and mostly grassland with scattered villages, while civilization is concentrated along a river. Population is denser in the midlands, as the south is mostly desert. They have many valuable resources and traditional grudge against Shai.
Graylle: Graylle is a large island closest to western Shai, of moderate temperature and dense forests with pockets of cities. It is a civilized, peaceful land, for the most part, and its King is a scholar and good man. They do much trade with Shai and are very close allies.
The Dabonian Isles: The Dabonian isles are to the east of Clani, scattered throughout the southern seas. Climate and environment vary by island. Recently they became united under one ruler; until then they were largely independent and disfunctional. King Fanak has done nothing but good for Daboni, and has established trade and ties with Shai. On the fringes there is still chaos after this sudden transition and those who disagree or generally want to avoid the order he's imposing are seeking shelter in the isles off of Shai's eastern coast.
Arekai: Arekai rivals Shai for size and power, and shares a border with Graylle. It is thickly populated and cultivated, with more farm land than forests and villages all over the place. It is a proud land, home to the Academy of Mages; magic is more common there than any other country. Queen Niane rules fairly, and their country is closely tied to Shai through trade.
