Quiera was content just to watch the goings on with Aridor, which was what she had decided to name the little Garnet seated quietly upon her shoulder, watching the goings on. When the Queen, Amethyst and King Hatched, she cocked her head faintly, curious. The Amethyst was, of course, a lovely creature, and the Diamond a handsome beast. He knew who he wanted right away, though, and went to the only male present-amusing to Quiera. She wasn't paying much attention to the Queen, not feeling she deserved the attention of such a regal being, so it was with quite a bit of surprise that she found the Opal nudging her hand, asking for her attention. White brows rose, and she very gently picked her up, stroking her. "Hello there lovely," she murmured, and the Garnet greeted his sister with a low chirring noise. She considered for quite a few moments on a name, then nodded. "Aleeri is who you shall be," she said quietly, and the Opal crooned, nuzzling her chin. Aleeri she would be, yes. She liked this name. Quiera continued to watch the Hatching, her two new additions with her, and she gave some food to Aleeri as they waited, the Opal eyeing her Amethyst and Jade sisters almost warningly. This was HER Bonded. No more females...

Five unhatched eggs remained in the ashes spread around the hearth, as well as the three Jades, a Garnet, and an Amethyst. Three of the eggs were a greyish color, while the other two held one each of pale blue and amber.
Aren wandered into the kitchens just then, and he stopped to look at the Yandorei hatchlings. So many still waiting to Bond. Maybe he should try for one? He stepped closer, and the Jades seemed to shy away from him. He was too serious, they told each other. The Garnet agreed with them. He was too serious for them. The Garnet darted out, between shoes and around legs, then flared his wings and vanished into the forest surrounding the Hall. He hadn't wanted to Bond to anyone. He liked his freedom.
Then the blue and amber eggs began to shake. The blue egg leaned, then rolled, colliding with the amber egg, causing both shells to shatter. There stood, in a tangle of legs and tails, two Topaz, one pale blue and one a more amber color. They attempted to right themselves, but only ended up more tangled.

Evanthe held her breath as the hatchings went on, straying closer to them as each one happened. Her aryvole chittered lightly at her feet, bounding over to view the baby yandorei closer. Jeoffrey chirred lightly, looking at the topaz babies closely before looking back at Evanthe. The moss was obviously curious about these scaled beings, his feathers fluffing slightly as he crept closer. He eyed the moonstone mother warily, not daring to get close enough to bother the Queen.
Evanthe watched as the Opal bonded, and then the Garnet dashed away. A frown curled her lips but she shook her head, it was the baby's choice whether to bond or go wild, and she would accept the decision that the male made.
