The young man sighed and sat on a rock. He was one of the youngest of the Trainee teachers, but he knew he was still older than them. He looked over at his dragon, a young Granite male who was curled up laying in the sun. Despite the Hatching, lessons went on as normal. And there was the issue of some of the first year Trainees getting to Bond with a dragon already. He knew one girl, only thirteen, who had Bonded to a dragon. Six years would not be enough for that pair, he thought. The girl was too young. But that was the reason for this class. To bring the first-year Trainees up to speed. Of course, he expected all of his Trainees, Bonded or not, to appear for this lesson.
Lysander stood when the first of his students showed. He waited for the rest before speaking.
"Those of you who have Bonded to a dragon, they will not go far," he assured them. "They can sit in the sun over there." He motioned to the patch of sun where his Granite rested. "This is going to primarily be a lesson to get the new Dragontrainees caught up to the level of the older Dragontrainees. So, for the rest of you, feel free to jump in with older Trainees and work on your form and technique. I will be walking around as you work, and if I see anything that needs correcting, I will point it out." He had been walking back and forth in front of them until this point, and he stopped next to a line of wooden practice swords.
"Pick your blade," he told them. "There are enough swords for everyone. Remember, these will not cut your skin, but they can break bones if you swing them hard enough."

This will be primarily self-guided. Pair off, and I'll have Lysander walk around and point things out every once in a while. This is mainly a catch-up lesson, so it shouldn't take too long.
