Your Name: Summer
Name: Aldric "Al" Cowen
Age: 14
Gender: male
Talent Level: Third, barely able to power a rune, but has surprisingly strong Mindspeaking ability
Appearance: Al is a bit on the small side for a boy, but he is surprisingly muscular. He is only 4 foot 5, and weighs only 75 pounds, but his arms are well-toned from his experience with swordsmanship. His dark brown hair is kept relatively short, and his eyes are dark brown. His appearance is actually rather ordinary. He carries a small sword on his hip, which he knows how to use. His skin is normally tanned surprisingly dark, at least in the warmer months. In winter, his skin tends to pale a few shades.
Personality: Al is a very determined young boy. He does not willingly give up on things if he doesn't see a reason that it wouldn't work out. Sometimes, people call him a perfectionist. He likes to plan everything out beforehand, and tends to get flustered when his plans fall through, to the point of not being able to make decisions for a short while.
He is very quick on his feet, and surprisingly strong for a boy of his age. He is quiet when he wants to be, when he tries, and is good at going unnoticed when he's given reason to do so. He is surprisingly good at sneaking around, and has a tendency to know things he shouldn't and get stuck in strange places due to his knack for spying on people.
In truth, Al is actually a very loyal person, to those few people who have earned his trust. He was never a very trusting person, which is part of why he spends so much time spying on others. He simply does not know how to trust.
History: Al was born in a small village under North Hall's jurisdiction, and lived a rather normal life for the first few years. He grew up playing strategy games with the other village children, and when they got snow in the winter they would always make snow forts and play Capture-The-Flag. He, of course, would always win. His strategies always worked. There came a point where the other village children just wouldn't play with him because he would always win.
After a short while of that, merchant children passing by made it their own game to see if anyone could beat the supposed ultimate of strategists. None of them ever did, of course, but they tested Aldric's strategizing skills.
When he was five, his mother just vanished. No note or explanation of any kind. She was just... Gone. They spent months searching for her, but she was never found. Al believed that he had done something wrong. That for some reason, he had done something wrong that made his mother leave. Since then, he has refused to openly trust anyone.
He was seven when a new man came to town, someone who claimed to be from the Hall, here to teach any of the children who wished to learn how to wield a sword. He jumped at the chance, and picked it up quickly. Soon, he was taking lessons with the man privately.
At ten years, Al's father decided that he was tired of living in a place where so many dark memories rested, and so Al and his father moved from their home village. It took them a year, but Al's father finally decided to settle in East Hall, and at twelve Aldric took the Trainee Test. He has since completed his Trainee lessons, and is now just waiting for his moment to Bond to a dragon.
